ACLU Contraditing Itself?

Just a quick note, as I have taken the last couple days to enjoy time with my family while I'm at home!

I saw something interesting today, actually it was a bit ironical.  I was reading a few different news articles - one was on the ACLU's fight against South Dakota's new abortion law (which requires 72 hours delay and counseling from a crisis pregnancy group before a woman can receive and abortion) and another where the ACLU is siding with the Obama administration's hope for greater gun control.

The irony - no, we don't think you should have anything in the way of you murdering an unborn child, but we totally agree you shouldn't have access to a gun without serious government controls.  Yes, I know I've taken a great deal of poetic license with the two viewpoints, and maybe stretched them out to their very edges.  But just what exactly are the ACLU's values, besides completely upside down and backwards from mine!  Besides, they are lawyers.  Don't they stretch the truth the exact same way I did, and get paid for it?

Anyways, just a quick comment for tonight!  Your comments and thoughts invited!
